It's been a while since you posted this message.  I wanted to mention that 
the Species Iris Group of North America often has this species available in 
their seed exchange.  Sometimes the people donating the seed have actually 
travelled to the native country to collect the seeds, and so they are 
indeed authentic.  Of course I can't guarantee that this species is always 
available, but it's worth this researcher investigating.
