A couple of mysteries, and Trillium pictures

Dave,

I'm so glad you took photos of that first mystery bulb. I also saw 
those near Cuzco in mid-February a few years ago. But every single 
flower was a closed bud. None of them were open, although they looked 
very iris-like to me. I desperately wanted to see one open, but I 
guessed they were only open during the part of the day when I wasn't 
there. Now maybe I can find out what they are.
