Sheri: I didn't mulch it and planted about six inches deep ( from the top of the bulb to soil level). It appeared very late and I had given up hope on it. As I was told by Ellen Hornig of Seneca Hill Perennials, where I acquired it, I should have a bit more faith! Arnold
