Hi Diane, In my experience Begonia sutherlandii will flower within the first year when grown from bulbils and will produce copious amounts of bulbils within that first year. I grow them in a hanging basket to best appreciate their dainty orange flowers. Enjoy! Pieter van der Walt South Africa
