Just have to add my two cents.
I have Four plants of N. caerulea in my gardens here in the Inland Empire of
Southern Cal.
One in dry, high shade. One in dry sandy A.M. sun. One in full sun border,
dry and hot. One in edge of lawn, hot afternoon sun with regular irrigation.

They all bloom exactly the same, which is June and July. July gets to be
100 degrees easily every day with no humidity. We also get occasional frosts
every winter. No damage. Tough plants!!!
