Good news here in the Nerine department: Nerine sarniensis 'Corusca' is
sending up an inflorescence. This plant bloomed well last autumn when it was
a newly received bulb.

Last night I had a dream in which I was garden touring with some friends and
saw Amaryllis belladonna blooming in several nearby Virginia gardens. The
stalks were tall and the flowers vividly colored. I remember in my dream I
was telling myself that I'll have to post to PBS to let them know I was
mistaken about the difficulty of growing this plant in this area.

I wonder if this dream will ever come true?
