Bessera elegans

Jacob, et al,

I don't have a problem growing Bessera in a warm climate. Mine do very well in a summer-growing regime: I plant them in a well-draining medium in spring and water them regularly until they enter dormancy in the fall. Once they have died back completely I store the bulbs dry in a paper packet until the next spring. Mine flower and multiply profusely.

They will also grow through the winter but are slow and don't flower very well at all. My winter minimums are down to freezing occasionally, but the days are usually warm and dry.

Does anyone have experience cultivating Petronymphe?

I hope this is of some help to you.

Best regards
Rogan.
