Narcissus, virus, compost

I was about to throw some spent paperwhites in the compost when I
started worring about disease. The plants look perfectly healthy, and
I assume that virus, at least, will not survive the compost, but I
wondered what better informed gardeners had to say.

only flooding is of Nigella seedlings, which proves that my compost
isn't as hot as one would like.
