I argued with myself whether to send this e-mail but despite the fact that I might be out of line or will embarrass my self I decided to send it anyway. I am looking to obtain Zephyranthes and Habranthus seed. I hope that my request is justified by the goal I am working towards. I hope to create a checklist of rain lily species and hybrids. My collection has just begun and I have purchased whatever I could find but I would like to obtain seed of plants from various sources so that I can compare and note degrees of variation within and between species. To prove that I am crazy enough to actually do this I will point to several checklists that I have prepared for sections of the American Iris Society. Most of the work involves literature reviews but it is very helpful to gather as much first hand experience as possible. I also will be seeking advice and council from the established rain lily experts but I would like very much to grow as many of the species and cultivars as possible. Seed from as many species as I can obtain will help with my understanding and will make the result better. Please e-mail me if you have seeds that may help.
