In the latest BX advertisement, you will notice an announcement about new
charges that are necessary because of the recent changes in US Postal
Service rates. As I gain a better understanding of how the new scheme works,
I may need to make additional changes in our shipping/handling charges to
assure that you still get to share in the great donations that our members
make, at what is really a bargain price, and that the PBS does not lose
money on the operation.
Here is the current plan:
PLEASE NOTE: NEW POSTAL-RATE SCHEMES NECESSITATE OUR PLACING A SURCHARGE ON
EACH ORDER FROM PBS BX OFFERINGS.
If your package falls in the domestic rate category "Letter,"
there will be no surcharge
If your package falls in the domestic rate category "Large
Envelope," there will be a $1.00 surcharge
If your package falls in the domestic rate category "Package,"
there will be a $2.00 surcharge
If your package falls in the domestic rate category "Priority
Mail," the surcharge will vary from $3.00 - $10.00 depending on weight and
distance.
International parcels which are always small, will have a $1.00
surcharge.
