Dear all, I have three species here which do well in the mediterranean climat. E himalaicus, E. olgae and just recently a turkish species E. tauricus. Now since our nursery has very sandy soil, Eremurus is doing extremely well. The left overs I will now plant on the top of some sand dunes in the lawn. The point made that they should not be trempled on, seems very valid. The large delicate central bud is not very farm from the surface. After planting I will mark the area withsome rocks scattered around. Greetings Lauw de Jager http://www.bulbargence.com/ South of France (zone 8 Olivier) Coord.
