Foreign members wishing to donate to the BX should be aware that seeds sent
to the USA are subject to agricultural inspection and possible confiscation
if they are not sent under permit from the ironically named agency, APHIS.
There is a fairly tedious procedure to obtain the permits, document the
exports, and (eventually, you hope) get the seeds. I have a permit, but
certain foreign suppliers with whom I deal have told me not to bother with
following the procedure, and just to take my chances that the little packet
of seeds will arrive "under the radar." So far, they have -- but I know I'm
taking a chance.
