Fiction Authors Get It Wrong

If my memory serves me well, I think that the first time I visited
Huntington Gardens in San Marino, CA, when I was nine years old, I was told
that Tarzan movies had been filmed there. I don't know in which part. 150
years ago the whole place might have been completely different; I can't
remember.

Ohmigosh. Jim.  You're right! your pointing it out enabled my memory to 
surface with the potted plants and you could sometimes see the pots..  But 
at age 14  when I started growing orchids that's still the one that sticks 
with me, along with the Indian elephants in Africa.  Never saw the fake ear 
prostheses, though
