Dave Brastow wrote One thing that makes weeding this easier; it's edible, and actually tasty! While getting some fresh air, and cleaning up the garden, I get some good Spring greens too! Here in the Bay area we have an infinite variety of mustards, both native and introduced. They gorw not only in my flower pots, but in every field, along roadsides, etc. So, it is easy for me to forage despite weeding. The tender leaves are great in salads, the pods are a crunchy snack, and the older leaves can be cooked. But, pickled mustard seed pods are a culinary delight that can only be had if you put them up yourself. David Ehrlich
