Hi all, My pot full of Herbertia lahue caught my attention today with a total of 5 blooms in it. I presume they are ssp. caerulea since I got the seed for them 6 miles down the road. While I admired them for some of their brief life, I noticed something I had not seen before. Small flies visiting each flower and what appeared to me, that they were eating the pollen. I had never seen this before. I was delighted to catch a glimps of their world.
