Hi Alan,

I agree with Nhu and Mike, those broken patterns are 'classic' for a
virus-infected amaryllid.  There are very few known pathogenic plant viruses
that are known to be transferred to seed but it's worth noting that the
Eucharis mottle virus is recorded as one of those exceptions (see:
