Hi All,

A few years ago when I first started with South African bulbs. I ordered some seed from the Seed Room at Kirstenbosch. Merwilla plumbea they were.

I recognize that some of the Merwilla have been lumped together. I was looking at Silverhill seeds and see that they still have the different Merwilla separate.

Does anyone know just how different they are? According to Silverhill the M. plumbea is short (40cm) compared to M. natalensis (1m), with the old Scilla kroussii (.5m) falling in between.

I guess what I am asking is. Are the 3 of them so similar that the only way to distinguish them apart would be bloom height?

Thanks

Justin

Finally hot and muggy! woohoo! oh.... I think I should say boohoo! instead.....
