some australian plants will not germinate at warm temperatures.

Regarding the shot you posted of a beautiful plant you said was growing in
an Australian friend's garden, do you know whether the plant is, in fact,
Australian? If so, is it from Queensland? Is it bulbous in the broadest
sense (tuberous, cormous etc.). I counted four petals - is that correct?
