Sorry I don't know anything about that Josh, perhaps someone has perfected a
tissue graft to produce an effect like a labernocytisus wher two sets of
cells grow along side each other, but more likely there are tulips with
patterned flowers in nature that have been selected and bred to give a
striped effect.
There are many 'stripy' tulips in nature without virus.
