I have had 1 Tulipa iliensis flowering in a open-sided sand plunge for 2 weeks now! Totally unexpected as I have always found tulips pretty regular in their habits. No snowdrops yet. After a record warm November the temperature went down to its usual range at the beginning of this month but has now moved up again to a daytime 10°C. Looks like being a grey mild Christmas weekend - personally I like it colder but I don't think I could handle James's minimums. Happy holiday Erle
