Greetings, People have been speaking of Welwitschia as though they are hard to get, but they have become rather common in the last few years (in the US at least). Arid Lands currently has them for $30 and I've seen them around at that price many times. For a desert plant, they are unforgiving of going dry as others have said. Until I killed it with drought, mine had survived 2 winters in an unheated greenhouse. If given constant heat, however, they can "flower" in as few as 5 years. -|<ipp
