Just a quick question about *L. socialis* (but I'm sure it applies to others): Have you found soil type to make a major difference in growth rate? * L. socialis* grows for me, but I never seem to be able to get it looking quite as nice as my sources. Bulbs grow, they offset....but the leaves seem thinner, weaker, and I never get a large number of them. Young bulbs seem to take forever to get going. I mostly keep succulents, so I tend to use a very gritty mix - could that be it? Do they need fairly regular feeding (something I rarely do w/ most of my plants)? - Dave S.
