sending bulbs to Australia

When I last brought bulbs into Australia it was expensive, a lot of paper work prior and after, but it can be done. Previously we had set up a quarantine area at our home which was easily done and then we paid for periodic inspections for a growth season. The last time (2003) I put them into the quarantine facility in Brisbane because we had moved too far from Brisbane which made the inspection trips too expensive. The people in quarantine took great interest in my bulbs and did a fantastic job of growing them on. Seeds are much easier and can be sent through the post with certain restrictions.. Rules change so I don't know if the situation is still the same.
