Dear PBSers,
We've grown an assortment of Ipheion uniflorum cvs over the
years and 'Rolf Fiedler' is not only quite distinct in form, but the
only tender form. 'Jessie' is a decent blue and hardy enough, but the
2 best growers are 'Wisley Blue' and 'Alberto Castilllo'. They come
through and bloom grandly even after the harshest winters and foliage
damage.

'Charlotte Bishop' is a weak grower, but I wish some one
might combine the best of Alberto with Charlotte - a "Charlotte
Castillo" so to speak, with large pink flowers and good vigor and
hardiness.

Any new cvs on the horizon ? Best Jim W.
