Thanks John for that information. I will continue to  keep this form under 
strict 'surveyance".  There is probably a reason why it does not spread 
here. Generally it is found growing  in the extreme southern regions of 
Italie ans Spain (much warmer then here). Are the flowers sterile?

Portugal, for example, spreading freely by bulbils and being just as much an 
invasive nuisance as the single form.
