Thank you, Jim.  In fact the picture shows the initial terminal blooms but it went on to produce blooms at many lower leaf axils, suggesting that pruning for size would not preclude flower production (assuming no frost)

And, yes, I. tectorum from Woodlanders several years ago, blooming in dry shade.
