Hi Jerry,
Eucomis montana has been doing well for me for several years; one has flowers of a particularly nice purplish color. That one is up against the south side of the house sheltered from winter wet; its seed sister (rather plainer) is unprotected. They've been through -5o or so.

Has anyone had experience with Eucomis planted in-ground in zone 5? Not
just for the summer, but over-winter. Any suggestions on experimenting with
over-wintering Eucomis in zone 5? And would they be considered deer
resistant or rabbit resistant?
