I'd go with a small tulip like tulipa tarda.

When you hold them up to the light, how big are the embryos?

(Theory being fritillaria small, tulipa large).

(wouldn't it be useful if the wiki had pictures of every seed pod and

You can find pictures of the embryos of frits and tulips if you look around
the wiki. Tulips are on the same page as above.
