Stealing from your neighbours

I have purchased multiple plants in one pot from nurseries with differing results from growers. One will say - "wait, let me dig that extra plant out first" - another will say "it's your lucky day".
At times the volunteer plants are better than the one growing in the pot.
I have never thought of this as stealing. The grower will see it on purchase.

Also, am I a plant thief if I bought a Haworthia gigantea that happened to
have growing (unlabeled! At no extra cost!) it its pot a seedling of
Schizobasis? ;-)
