Thanks Nhu,

Yes, reading the Wiki I understand and keep my plants in a database with
every piece of information possible. The info comes in handy for many
reasons.

Even after reading the Wiki though; I wanted to punt the question out there.

Best regards, Lisa

Subject: Re: [pbs] Questions on Massonia

Hi Lisa,

The list of validly published species of Massonia is different from what is
"accepted" by the general community. The genus is incredibly variable in
South Africa and it will take some meticulous DNA combined with
morphological work to sort them all out.

In the mean time, we on the PBS Wiki try to list both the current expert
opinions and validly published species. For now, I suggest that the best
option is to list a tentative name such as "Genus + species (if
identifiable) + Location". This way, once more complete studies have been
published, you could identify them. Locality in Massonia is going to be
extremely important for identification so to all Massonia growers out there,
please keep them with your labels!
