Thank you to Alberto, Hans-Werner, Ellen, and Eugene Zielinski for responding to my query about the rootless H. cybister bulb. It was encouraging to hear that other people have had this same clone in exactly the same condition. If I can obtain some rooting hormone, I will sprinkle some on the bulb. It's been years since I've had any in the house. I used to apply it to Nepenthes cuttings, but then I realized they root just as well without it. Nick
