That was so interesting Alani, I would love to have the aquatic crinums but there hard to get & expensive here in Australia.
Just a thought on fertilizing, you might be successful with a very small segment of a water lily fertilizer pellet "placed inside the potting medium" I grow lily bulbs & use this method to avoid algae, rather than using whole pellets & I just pop a little bit in every 6 months or so.. Mine are in a pond & containers, not fish tanks so that might be an issue, but I do have fish & many species of frogs breeding in the pond & they seem happy..
