Freezing bulbs: Duration vs. low temperature

I suspected as much since Alstroemeria does not appear in my 
December, 2009 notes of UCBG or Strybing freeze damage.  That 
particular cold spell back in 2009 was two degrees colder here than 
this past week.  It's always good to know there is one less group of 
plants to cover at night.
