The more freely and cheaply they are sold, the less incentive there is to
collect and resell wild plants. The Thai people are keen horticulturists so
it is not a surprise that they have worked to propagate a wide range of
plants to sell. Threats to populations of rare plants in the wild are
overwhelmingly due to habitat loss or conversion.
