Bulbs surviving from year to year without being planted, was: Re: pbs Digest, Vol 124, Issue 1

Completely dry for over a whole year but when watered they soon took off and 
flowered like nothing had happened! Simply amazing."

I had exactly the same experience last year with some Hymenocallis 'Sulfur Queen' dug in the fall of 2010: that they were still  alive in 2012 was amazement enough, but that they popped into bloom a few weeks after being planted was unbelievable.
