For those who might be interested, there will be a talk by PBS member Leo Martin on Thursday, June 13, 2013 at 7:30 pm at the regular meeting of the San Gabriel Valley Cactus and Succulent Society. The meeting will be at the Los Angeles County Arboretum, 301 N. Baldwin Avenue, Arcadia, California, which is just off Interstate 210 at the Baldwin Avenue exit. The talk will be about growing cactus from seed, but Leo is going to surprise the SGVCSS membership by revealing this method also works well with most bulb seed. (Don't tell anybody or he might get disinvited from the margarita party preceding the meeting!) There is generally a plant sale (not only cactus & succulents) and visitor's raffle associated with SGVCSS meetings but probably none of you are interested in more plants.
