I've been wandering around eastern Washington looking at early flowers 2000 to 3000' elevation.

This is a cool comparison of Erythronium grandiflorum showing variation in stamen color from pale yellow to red. Be fun to see if they are true to seed. The red stamens are quite striking.

Allium robinsonii, near Wanapum Dam. Every time I have tried to collect seed for this one the local winds blow away ripe seed pods before I can get back. Maybe this year.
