Quite fascinating, Hans. But I wonder most as to how you came to choose using cement powder to induce fertilization?? It would likely not have been my first choice... or second or third! That it works is remarkable. Do you use this technique widely with different plants? I put some cement powder (yes cement powder) on a cotton tip and put it on the pistil. I do not know why it works, but it does. Maybe one of the components in the cement powder triggers fertilization. And please for all of you, don not start telling this is nonsense. I know from own experience that it works in quite some cases. Maybe someone can tell the secret behind this.
