Smoke-water and bulb growth

I'm a latecomer to this discussion, but here goes...
I'm assuming that the smoke-water that Diane is talking about is just that,
water impregnated with smoke. There are other products that go by the name
of liquid smoke. These contain a good quantity of acetic acid (vinegar)
which may not be good for seed or bulb growth. So... it may be best to
check the ingredients list on the bottle before making your purchase.
