When I pack lachenalia bulbs for the BX, I get itchiness if I touch my face. Is this, perhaps something that is part of the chemistry of Hyacinthaceae?

The first bulbs immediately looked like Scilla peruviana
 bulbs. The
new bulbs immediately looked like purple flowering Hyacinth
 bulbs
 (also grown in Israel).

Has anyone had an allergic skin reaction after handling
 their new
 replacement bulbs?
