Heaviest rain I ever remember was driving towards Las Vegas and it just poured, so bad that we all went like 30 or pulled off the freeway.

Some of you may have heard we in Phoenix experienced our all-time record rainfall in 24
hours by 6 am local time today (3 inches / 7.5cm at Phoenix Sky Harbor International
Airport.) I had almost 4 inches / 10cm of rain in my rain gauge at 7 am. On my way to
work I found all freeways and most major surface streets were shut due to standing
water, and I was notified that the place I was to work today was not open due to their
central computer system losing power.

A person I know walked around the neighborhood and took a number of photos with a cheap
mobile phone.
