First lycoris radiata of the season

I'm in North Carolina (accidentally hit send before adding my .sig). This
L. radiata is definitely a couple of weeks early, so I was exaggerating a
little regarding the imminent onset of autumn. There's at least another 6
weeks before the most delicate lowland tropicals need to go in the
greenhouse, and most tropical bulbs can stay out until sometime late in
October. I will definitely need to triage the collection, though. I'm
discovering that bulbs are even worse than orchids for outgrowing available
space, because they are so easy to grow from seed (and the SX/BX is so
tempting).
