Brian, bagnoldii is a desert species and probably the Chilean one in a hottest climate. It can enjoy cool nights (being in a desert) but during the day it gets really hot there. If you can grow it under say Geissorhiza conditions there are chances it wil make it. It is a summer dormant species. Chilean bulbs are comparatively difficult to grow but this is due to their dry air climate, rather than mixes or temperatures.
