Hi Fernando, I grow five or six species of Gethyllis outside in northern California. I live in Vallejo, which is near San Francisco but away from the ocean . I looked at your temperatures and mine are pretty similar. Most of my winter lows are around 40F/5c. From December to February we regularly get at least five days of frost, and a fair amount below 40F/5c. I grow my plants in 1 gallon plastic pots which measure 6"/15cm across and are about 8"/20cm deep. These are the same pots in which I sowed the seeds. This summer I had three flowers of Gethyllis ciliaris. I move my pots to a partly shaded spot in the summer, but do not water them at all. All my plants have come from seeds from Silverhill Seeds, and the transition from the southern hemisphere has usually been easy. This summer I am planning on putting a good number of plants into a sand dune I am making in my garden. Enjoy your plants. Arcangelo Wessellsnorthern Californiaa cold windy day today
