Amaryllis belladonna

The historical rain in Southern California did not make its way north
to where we live. There are a few Amaryllis belladonna showing here
and there, but not a lot. I even have one shoot in my garden that I
don't recall blooming for a long time, if ever, but there was a shrub
that died in the drought that got bigger than I expected (a
Leucospermum) and probably provided too much shade. Since Amaryllis
belladonna can bloom here into September and even October, there is
still time for others to make an appearance.
