I am no help with SoCal... We regularly hike in the San Jose - Almaden Quicksilver area and St. Josephs Hill near Lexington reservoir . Especially this last weekend there were hundreds of white Calochortus (venustus ?) and a few yellow (luteus?). Also regularly in the shady slopes I see C. albus. I'll be interested to see your pictures with ID to learn better which species I am seeing. I have a trip planned for this weekend down to the Anaheim area via I-5. If anyone has some pointers to particularly nice spots to catch some now-blooming Calochorti please let me know. I need to put together a slideshow of the season so far - I've caught all the Bay Area species in bloom already this season. -|<ipp ________________________________ PLEASE NOTE: The information contained in this electronic mail message is intended only for the use of the designated recipient(s) named above.
