Transplanting Crinum

Hi Carlo,

It's a single huge bulb and it has put out some real strong roots so I can't even budge it. I'll give it a mulch and try to keep it relatively dry for the winter and hope for the best. If it comes back next spring, I'll be very happy and I'll post the results to the list.

Warm Regards,
Fred

Cambridge (Boston) MA
USDA Zone 6b....and finally getting some MUCH needed rain :-)))

Fred,

Best of luck with your Crinum experiment…if it were me, I’d be sure to dig part of the clump and bring it in for insurance. I’m thinking you’re a bit over the border for hardiness. Then again, if you guys get consistent snow coverage like you had last year……….
