Dear All, According to 'Bulbs' by Martyn Rix and Roger Phillips Hippeastrum argentinum is quite hardy. I do not know if anybody grows it but there is a Hybrid called Amputo which looks almost like H. argentinum. It is commercially available from time to time. I have a potful but have not tried for hardiness because my climate does not seem to be the one to test this. Amputo is very shy to flower with me but if it does: it has beautiful long white scented funnels. Bye dor today Uli
