Introduction and Lycoris Hybrid Sourcing

Yes, I agree, Plant Delights probably has the best selection overall and keeps cycling through various cultivars and species over time. Another place to check on, especially for species, is Telos Rare Bulbs. Also, Komoriya, in Japan, has many hybrids, and sells (and exports) them during dormancy on eBay. And of course, Jim Waddick, who was a past president (?) of PBS, is probably the world’s expert on Lycoris species and cultivars (and its related, but very rare, genus, Ungernia). There’s also a person in the Los Angeles area who grows many of them and wrote an article about them in one of the last issues of the now-defunct International Bulb Society’s journal “Herbertia”.
