Seller of rotten bulbs

Hello all,

I just wanted to pass on a negative experience I had with a seller called "special African bulbs" who was recently selling bulbs on eBay in the hopes that others will not have the same experience that I did.

By the way, I would not be posting this if I had not tried everything imaginable to contact this seller and get them to make it right with no results.

I ordered 4 bulbs; brunsvigia grandiflora, cyrtanthus obliquus, cyrtanthus flanaganii, and Haemanthus Crispus in late November. I paid a significant amount of money for them ($160 total). After not receiving them for two weeks I contacted the seller to voice my concerns. They assured me that the bulbs would be fine but could take up to 4 weeks to arrive. After five weeks the bulbs finally arrived, but they were in questionable shape. The Haemanthus bulb was rotten and soft on arrival. The others seemed OK but I was skeptical. I informed the seller about the rotten bulb and they did offer to send me a replacement( which arrived much more quickly and in good condition) but when a week later I found both of the cyrtanthus bulbs rotten and informed them of this I never received a reply. I have sent four messages none of which have been returned. All I did with the bulbs was put them in a medium of mostly pumice and sand and I did not water them as I was waiting for spring before
doing this. I am currently growing 4 other species of cyrtanthus without any such issues so I find it difficult to see how I could've done something to cause this.

Of course I already left positive feedback on eBay so I basically have no way to voice my dissatisfaction other than to warn others and hope they don't fare the same.

Also I am a new member and I'm not sure if this is an appropriate kind of thing to post but I couldn't think of what else to do. So if for some reason it's not please accept my apologies and I will refrain from posting such things in the future.
